Naga peace agreement : Tangkhul prepares for thanks giving

Ukhrul, August 07 2015 : Tangkhul community, as a show of support to the framework agreement signed between the Government of India and NSCN IM, will observe a thanks giving ceremony on August 10 at TNL ground, Wino Bazar, Mungchan Zimik reports.

The ceremony is being organized by TNL and Tangkhul Frontal organizations.

A peace march holding Naga National Flag would be held on the said day with participants wearing the full traditional attire of Tangkhul marking the support of the people.

TNL secretary Nobert Khayi has appealed to all villagers to attend the thanks giving programme on the said day.

TNL has further resolved to hoist a white flag at every household of Ukhrul, marking their support to the framework agreement.

A candle light evening Church service will be held on Sunday as part of the thanks giving celebration, the secretary informed.
