Imphal, November 05 2024: A 26-year-old died when his Yamaha Fascino scooter (MN01AJ 8341) crashed onto the rear of an e-rickshaw on November 2 around 12:20 pm at Ngangkhalawai under Moirang police station.

The rider, identified as Khwairakpam Benerjit, sustained serious injuries and was brought to RIMS hospital.

He was later transferred to Little Clinic, Nagaram where he succumbed to injuries.

Following the incident, a case has been registered at Moirang police station, and post-mortem conducted at the RIMS morgue on Monday, after which Benerjit's body was handed oyer to his family members for the final rites.
