Imphal, July 05 2014 : The Human Care Foundation Trust today provided financial assistance to the family of Hijam Ishokumar of Leikinthabi Shantipur, Imphal West, whose house was burned to ashes on the midnight of June 19.Properties worth Rs 75,000 were reportedly destroyed along with three rooms.

Managing Director of the Trust Laishram Boby handed over the financial aid to the victim family in the presence of local Meira Paibis.

Speaking to reporters, Ishokumar stated the local people helped in fighting and ultimately dousing the fire as they could not report the incident to fire tenders and police on time.

He added that his family have not received any aid either from the local MLA or the State Government.
