One held for hate post on Facebook

Imphal, December 03 2023: Imphal East district police arrested one Moirangthem Sanjit alias Boi (37) s/o Surendrakumar of Brahmapur Bheigyabati Leikai, for uploading and circulating fake news on social media platform, Facebook.

According to a police report, a Face-book page named Boe Moirangcha' uploaded a post on Facebook, meant to spread fake news, create mass fear and incite conflict and hatred between communities, a few days ago.

As such, a team of Porompat PS arrested Sanjit on Saturday and produced him before a court.
