CrPC clamped at Ekou Mullam and Champhai polling stations

Imphal, March 03 2012: In view of repoll to be held at 46/15 Ekou Mullam and 46/23 H Champhai polling stations, ADM of Kangpokpi imposed prohibitory order under Section 144 CrPC restricting assembly of five or more persons and carrying of lethal weapons within 100 metres of the respective polling station during poll.

The ADM also asked ASP and Zonal Magistrate of Kangpokpi to ensure peaceful conduct of repoll in the two polling stations under Saikul AC.

At the same time, the ADM has also imposed prohibitory order under Section 144 CrPC within the Security Barrack of ADC, Kangpokpi where counting of votes will be conducted on March 6.The order will not apply to counting officials, law enforcing agencies, candidates and their agents.

No vehicle other than observer's, RO's and ARO's, would be allowed inside the ADC complex.
