Assam Rifles organises clealiness drive

Imphal, October 01 2019: As part of Government's flagship programme 'Swachh Bharat Abhiyan', Mantripukhri Battalion of 9 Sector Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ IGAR (South) organised an awareness and cleanliness drive on 'No Single Use Plastic Week' at Khabam Lamkhai, Mantripukhri yesterday.

The event was organised by Koirengei COB along with Physical Health Education Department, Imphal East, said a press release issued by PRO, IGAR.

The event commenced with an informative lecture on 'Say No to Plastic' followed by an interactive session where various queries regarding use and effects of plastic were clarified.

The locals of the area participated in the cleanliness drive with great zeal.

The locals of the area expressed gratitude to AR for sustained efforts to sensitise the masses on clean environment.
