Kakching, October 01 2017: Range Forest Office, Kakching, organised a spot painting and article writing competition, at Kakching Higher Secondary School, today, as a part of the 62nd Wildlife Week Celebration 2017 .

Around 17 students participated in the spot painting competition, which was organised under the theme ‘Rich Flora and Fauna of Manipur’ for students of class V to VII .

On the other hand, seven students participated in the spot article writing competition, which was held under the theme ‘Role of Youths/ Students in Protection and Conservation of Wildlife in Manipur’ for students of class IV to XII .

Before the start of the competitions, the students and participants, led by Range Forest Officer (RFO) Kakching district, Naorem Munal Meitei, took a pledge to save and conserve the flora and fauna found in the State.
