Health camp organised

26 Sector Assam Rifles under the aegis of Hqs IGAR (South) organised a Composite Health Camp.
A combined team of medical and dental officers, fully equipped with their equipment based on mobile vans provided treatment to over 1000 patients in far flung villages of Chandel district.
The drive commenced on August 29 and ended on August 30 covering Imol Satu, Thamlapopki, Thamla Kuren, Kotinphai, Helgreu Tampak and Lamphu Tampak villages.
The dental officer with state of the art Mobile Surgical Platform attended the patients of all ages.
One and all, but in specific the older generation, benefited as they find it difficult to travel.
A dental check up was also carried out for small children and students.
Speaking to the villagers, Brig Rajiv Chhibber, Commander, 26 Sector Assam Rifles, reiterated that the people friendly Assam Rifles was ever prepared to help out the local populace and these initiatives were a clear reflection of the same.
The Commander further highlighted that these events personify in spirit the very motto of Assam Rifles, "Friends of North East" and assured that many more of such activities shall be planned in future.
