Books released
Three books written by Nilamani Khuraijam including two novels and a compilation of poems were released today at Manipur Hindi Parishad.
Sahitya Akademi awardee Elangbam Dinamani, Aribam Kumar Sharma and S Longjamba, Asst Prof of DM College attended the book release programme.
BA results
The results of BA (Hons) 6th semester exam 2015 (June) conducted by Manipur University has been declared today.
According to result sheets issued by MU the pass percentage is put at 69.78 .
Students felicitated
Education Project Committee under Hunphun Shanao Long today felicitated meritorious students from Hunphun/ Ukhrul village at Rashing Hall Awungtang, Ukhrul, Mungchan Zimik reports.
Deputy Commissioner of Ukhrul Modak Hrishikesh, during his speech, congratulated the students for their success.
A cash award of Rs 10,000 and a certificate were handed over as encouragement and support from the organization to the students.
Snake bite victim
The medical team of 7 Assam Rifles under Red Shield Division saved the life of a man identified as Birbal Singh (42) of Moirang Laishangbam Leikai, who was bitten by a venomous snake on June 27.
After the man was brought to the Unit Hospital, he was immediately attended by the medical officer, who carried out symptomatic treatment.
He was provided anti-venom medicine and referred to Churachandpur District Hospital, said a press release issued by PIB (DW) .
