Jiribam, October 30 2024: Additional District Magistrate, Jiribam, Th Manoranjan Singh has prohibited the use/bursting of firecrackers in Jiribam district during the celebration of the ensuing Diwali festival in view of the volatile law and order situation in the State.

According to the order issued by the Addl DM Jiribam, the prohibition was imposed under sub-section 2 of section 163 of BNSS, 2023 .
