AR recovers opium worth Rs 24.52 1akh

Imphal, July 29 2018: Somsai Battalion of 10 Sector Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ IGAR (South) have arrested one identified as Thangkhohao Haokip s/o Douthang Haokip of TA-S Gamnomjang, Churachandpur and seized 32.700 kg of opium worth Rs 24.52 lakh packed in 31 packets from inside a Mahindra Bolero GLX silver colour bearing Regd No MN02B4368 on NH202 at Assam Rifles Check Post, Lambui, Ukhrul District on July 28.The individual has been handed over to Shangshak PS for further investigation, said a statement of IGAR (South) .
