Imphal, June 29 2016: The observation of Anti Malaria Month 2016 initiated today in a function held at the office chamber of the Dis- trict Nodal Officer, National Vector Borne Disease Control Programme at the Old Medical Directorate complex.

Chief Medi- cal Officer, Imphal West, Dr H Kula who attended as the chief guest of the opening programme urged mass participation of the people in rooting out Malaria.

He advised the people to maintain a clean environment and use chemical treated mosquito nets to avoid the spread of the disease.

Health related departments will organise awareness programmes to prevent the spread of Malaria during the month long observation, he added.

District Nodal Officer NVBDCP, Imphal West, Dr N Thoinao and social activist Th Sakhi were also present at the opening function.
