Pre-recruitment training at Senapati

Imphal, September 28 2017: As a part of its drive to reach out to the youth and encourage youth empowerment, pre-recruitment training for unemployed youth of Senapati district was conducted by Maram Battalion .

According to a statement issued by PRO Defence, Imphal, the aim of the training was to educate and prepare the candidates for Army recruitment rally to be held at Leimakhong from October 3 to 10 .

A total of 250 candidates were registered online from the Bn AOR for the rally.

The candidates under training were provided free accommodation and mess by the Battalion .

They were assisted in filing online registrations and were medically examined before conduct of the rally.

At the culmination of the pre recruitment training, physical tests were conducted by the Battalion at Senapati ground on September 25 during which 87 candidates participated and written test was conducted on Sept 26 at Battalion Headquarters, Maram, which was attended by 94 candidates .

The aim of this training was to tune the aspiring candidates from Senapati district for the Army recruitment rally at Leimakong .

The candidates and their parents lauded the initiative taken by the Battalion to channelize the youth and provide job opportunities to brighten their future, the PRO Defence statement added.
