Raas Leela festival kicks off

Imphal, November 25 2018: As a part of Manipur Sangai Festival 2018, a 5 day Festival of Raas Leela, organised by Manipur Artists Association, Palace Compound, was kicked off at the premises of Guru Aribam Mandap, Brahmapur Nahabam, near Old Thombuthong, today.

The inaugural function was graced by Manipur Legislative Assembly Deputy Speaker, Kongkham Robindro Singh, Yaiskul AC MLA, Th Satyabrata Singh, Kshetrigao AC MLA, Nahakpam Indrajit Singh, Keirao AC MLA, Lourembam Rameshor Meitei, Sekmai AC MLA, Heikham Dingo Singh and Naoriya Pakhanglakpa AC MLA, Soibam Subaschandra Singh as presidium members.

As part of the event, Sangkirtan and Nitya Raas were performed today.

During the festival, Maha Raas, Diba Raas, Vasanta Raas and Kunja Raas will be showcased on 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th day respectively.
