Drugs worth crores set ablaze

CCpur, August 25 2019: The Joint Committee of Anti Drugs Churachandpur yesterday set ablaze Rs 1.5 crore worth of drugs it seized in the past eight months, at KIC complex in the presence of Kuki CSOs from the district.

Besides the drugs, nine phones seized from drug peddlers were also set afire.

PS Haokip, president KNO lit the contraband that included 11652 WY tablets, a can of poppy, 500 grams of heroin, and a pack of ganja.

Several units of the Young Paite Assocation on Thursday set on fire an assortment of drug packages seized during 'Operation Lamka' .
