Imphal, June 25 2016 : The Mapithel Dam Affected Villagers Organisation (MDAVO) has expressed reservation to the judgement of the Appellate Court, Public Information Commission which wilfully denied to disclose the detailed information of compensations for the affected villagers.

The judgement violates the Section 6 of the RTI Act, 2005, the organisation said.

MDAVO alleged that the denial is an attempt to cover up the siphoning of crores of public money in the name of rehabilitation and resettlement packages.

The organisation claimed that huge amount of money have been swindled while thousands of affected people who lost their sources of livelihood are left in a famine like situation since October, 2015 .
