Kuki Inpi-Sadar Hills threatens bandh

The Kuki Inpi Sadar Hills has threatened to imposed 48 hrs state wide total bandh in case the State Government fails to materialise its assurance in connection with the killing of two innocent Kuki civilians at Bongbal Kholen May last.
Speaking to this correspondent, the Vice President of Kuki Inpi Sadar Hills Haopu Khongsai said that in connection with the killing of Seitinlal Kipgen and Tongsat Haokip May last, we had an agreement with the State Government.
Accordingly, the Government assured to extend ex-gratia to the bereaved family within one week time.
He further added that one month has been already gone after the agreement but the government is yet to materialized the agreement.
Therefore the Kuki Inpi Sadar Hills has decided to impose 48 hrs.state wide total bandh any time if the Government do not materialize the agreement within this June followed by a series of intense agitations, cautioned Haopu.
