Imphal, July 22 2014: The Khwairamband Keithel Lambi Matai Potpham Phambi Lup submitted a memorandum to the Governor, Chief Minister, Social Welfare Minister, Agriculture Minister and MLA I Ibohanbi today.

The memorandum stated the following list of demands, permission for installation of street vendors into the main market; establishing separate vending and non-vending zone; implementation of the street vendor act 2014; the issue to be placed before the assembly; and justice for Ngangbi, Khangabok and Yaimabi, Moidangpok who were physically abused by the licensed vendors.

The issue over vending and non vending zone is causing much difficulties to the street vendors, the memorandum continues.

The memorandum drew a complain against the licensed vendors of Purana Bazar who have notified the eviction of street vendors before July 29 .
