Imphal, February 22 2016: Manipur Muslim Welfare Organisation (MMWO) held a meeting yesterday from 2 pm at Madrassa Mazhar Uloom campus, which was attended by three councillors of Bengoon ward and chairper- son of Mayang Imphal Municipal Council Md Sabullah as chief guest.

The meeting was held in order to discuss the firing incident at Mayang Imphal Bengoon and after a thorough discussion among the members present, it was resolved unanimously that the villagers of the three wards of Bengoon will work together in curbing anti-social elements.

A 30-member committee was also formed from the three wards of Bengoon and the team will keep strict vigil in the areas of the three wards from 6 pm to 6 am and if anyone if found with arms/ammunition, he/she will be taken as trying to commit crime, a statement issued by the president of MMWO said.
