AR conducts tree plantation drive

Imphal, August 21 2019: Kakching Battalion of 28 Sector Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ IGAR (South) organised a tree plantation drive at Waikhong football ground, Thoubal district on August 20 .

About 50 saplings of various trees were planted by the Company Operating Base (COB), Waikhong of the battalion along with Waikhong Youth Club, said a statement of PRO IGAR (South).

The tree plantation drive was observed with the aim to fight global warming.

All the attendees pledged to carry forward the initiative and contribute towards increasing the green cover in newly formed Kakching district, said the statement.
