Thoubal, October 19 2019: "No Confidence Motion" against Chairperson of Yairipok Municipal Council (YMC) L Haripyari Devi and vice-Chairperson Md Dilip by the Councillors of the Council was declared passed in a special meeting held on October 17 at the conference hall of Deputy Commissioner, Thoubal.

The "No Confidence Motion" against the Chairperson L Haripyari Devi has been supported by 5 councillors out of the 9 councillors and the DC Thoubal, who is the presiding officer of the special meeting has declared the "No Confidence Motion" against her as passed while "No Confidence Motion" against vice-Chairperson Md Dilip was supported by 6 councillors out of the 9 councillors and DC Thoubal acting as a presiding officer declared "No Confidence Motion" against him as passed.

Sources said that 5 councillors were camping to choose the new Chairperson of YMC.
