Imphal, December 18 2021: Somsai Battalion Assam Rifles of IGAR (South) extended medical assistance to a grievously injured male of New Tusom village in Ukhrul district on Saturday.

According to PRO IGAR (S), a resident of New Tusom village sustained severe head injuries while cutting tree.

Villagers immediately took him to Assam Rifles post at Tusom where the person was rendered emergency medical aid to stabilise his condition.

He was later referred to Civil Hospital for further treatment.
