Imphal, September 18 2015 : The core committee meeting of BJP, Manipur Pradesh was held at the BJP head office, Imphal and the prevailing situation after the three Bills were passed by the Assembly recently was minutely discussed.

Stating that the State is in turmoil due to the agitation by both the people of hill districts and Imphal valley, BJP, Manipur Pradesh said it is unfortunate that the Chief Ministers and leaders of other States have been expressing sectarian view on such a senstive issue which concerns the people of Manipur.

Interfering in the internal affairs of the State by leaders of other States will not help in maintaining peace and harmony in the region, the party said in a statement.

Asserting that the State Government has been trying to deal with the situation by inviting NGOs and other CSOs for consultation on the three Bills, BJP, Manipur Pradesh maintained that the party has been supporting the cause of the indigenous people of Manipur.

The statement added that the party has also been suggesting ways and means to the State Government in order to resolve the issue.
