Imphal, May 18 2016: Due to incessant rainfall last night, several areas in Bishnupur district have been flooded.

Okshongbung Leikai, Patlou Leikai, Khoiru Leikai in Moirang Part I area, Thoya, Turenbal, Sribon in Moirang Part II, Tronglaobi, Thinungei, Phubala main road and houses in Kwakta Charangpat Ward No 9 have been flooded by torrential rainfall last night.

The affected places were inspected by local MLA M Prithviraj Singh along with Moirang SDO and Councillors of Moirang Municipal Council.

MLA M Prithviraj Singh stated that neccessary steps have been taken up to open relief camps for the flood-affected victims.
