Imphal, January 18 2022: The United Christian Women Manipur (UCWM) has appealed to all to cast their votes for the candidates who genuinely have a heart to serve and govern the people with justice, impartiality and integrity.

In a statement, the UCWM said that they have been praying for the upcoming State Assembly election to be conducted peacefully.

"It is our responsibility to pray for our leaders and be concerned with this important electoral process," it said and added, "We believe that Governments are instituted by God to promote good and punish evil" .

It urged all the candidates to contest the election with good motives and not just to hold office.
