Imphal, August 16, 2012: Women bodies such as AMKIL, Poirei Leimarol Meira Paibi Apunba Manipur, Chitua, Washak and Kanglamei have strongly condemned rape and murder of five-year old Maibam Miranda at Wabagai Tentha Thambal Chingya area some days back.

Representatives of these organisations voicing serious concern against acts of violence and women and children, pledged support to any movement launched by the J AC on the issue.

Speaking to newspersons at Kcishampat Lairembi community hall today, they also demanded that the Government act swiftly to book and punish the culprit.

Meanwhile, Joint Student Coordinating Committee of six student organisations also urged authorities concerned to book and punish all the culprits involved in murdering the five year old girl.
