Rice distributed
BJP Bishnupur Mandal, Minority Morcha president and former ward councillor, Bishnupur ward no.2 Md Firoz Khan distributed 10 kg of rice and a packet of salt each to 160 Muslim households under Bishnupur ward no 2 at Muslim community hall on the occasion of Eid-ul-fitr today, a statement informed.
Agriculture land submerged
Huge volume of water coming from the canal of Thoubal multipurpose project has submerged around 60 paris of agriculture land at Lamding Cherapur.
Stating that this area usually faces flood every year, Secular United Rural Management Agency has urged the Government to take up preventive measures on time.
Pineapple fair postponed
Development Organisation Andro Kendra has postponed the 8th State Level Pineapple Fair cum Festival which was earlier scheduled to begin from July 18 indefinitely.

Curfew relaxed
The District Magistrates of Imphal East and Imphal West have issued official notifications relaxing the imposition of curfew from 5 am till 7 pm tomorrow (July 18) .
Prohibitory orders uder Section 144 of the CrPC will however continue to remain in force.
