Imphal, October 16 2015 : 24 Assam Rifles of 26 Sector Assam Rifles under the aegis of Hqs IGAR (S) interacted with members of the Women Society of RRC village yesterday.

Women representatives of various organisations were present during the interaction, said a press release issued by PRO Hqs IGAR (S).

They were briefed on various women related welfare schemes taken up by the Government.

Safety of women, encouragement for independent livelihood and awareness about various laws recently enacted by the Government for women safety were also discussed at the interaction, added the press release.
