Farmers to incur loss this season

Imphal, October 16 2012:
Anticipating a bad harvesting season this Kharif season, All Manipur Progressive Farmers' Association (AMPFA) has calculated that farmers in the state would incur a loss of Rs.302 crores.
In a statement by its Secretary General, Thoiba Konthoujam said that due to the scarcity of rainfall almost all the Kharif crops fail to yield.
As a result, farmers would suffer a loss of Rs 302,40,00000.
