Imphal, July 15 2014: A team of Imphal East district commando unit arrested a man namely, Syed Ajmir Hussain (27) s/o Md Heshamuddin of Lilong Haoreibi Awang Leikai from Minuthiong Traffic point for illegal possesion of 148 strips containing 10 tablets each of Nitrosun-10 tablets.

One mobile handset was seized from his possesion.

A case has been registered at porompat police and further investigation is underway.

In another incident, three occupants of a Santro car bearing Regd No MN 04A/4543 were arrested with 55804 tablets of SP capsules and 6600 N-10 tablets in three air bags during frisking conducted by Thoubal police commando at Ushoipokpi Lamkhai on July 14 .

They have been identified as Mayangmayum Md Firoj Khan alias Khajao (37) S/o Md Abdul Manao of Sora Maning Leikai, Makakmayum Md Abid Shah (22) S/o Makakmayum Md Nur Muhamah of Sora Maning Leikai and Md Firoz Khan alias Singga alias Khan (27) S/o Md Adbul Basir Singga of Sora Maning Leikai.

The approximate value of the seized illegal drugs is about Rs 7 lakh.

Acase has been registered at Lilong police station and investigation is underway, said a Police PRO.
