Jiri dist demand on collision course; JDDC imposes total blockade

Jiribam, February 15 2016: Demanding the State Government to make Jiribam a full-fledged revenue district, the Jiribam District Demand Committee (JDDC) has announced its decision to impose an indefinite total blockade along Imphal-Jiribam road starting midnight today. JDDC convenor W Dinesh Meitei said that the State Government failed to give any response during the 5-days economic blockade which ended today.

Therefore, JDDC has resolved to call the indefinite total blockade.
