Imphal, October 13 2012: A youth who was undergoing treatment at Raj Polyclinic after he sustained critical injuries when he was knocked down by a truck has succumbed to the injuries.

The deceased has been identified as one Gaijianlung Rongmei (21) s/o Gaikampao of Namgaijang.

He was knocked down by a truck at Chingmeirong along NH 2 at about 4 pm yesterday.

He succumbed to the injuries early this morning at Raj Polyclinic hospital.

He was riding a motorcycle (Bajaj Pulsar) along with a friend when they were knocked down by the truck.

His friend Ngamjapao Rongmei (25) of Khoupum who was studying in Liberal College was killed on the spot.
