Imphal, September 13 2019: 109 Bn CRPF under the aegis of IGP Manipur and Nagaland Sector conducted a civic action programme at Monsangei area and distributed water storage tanks, said a statement of the battalion Commandant today.

RK Taruni Devi, president District Council, Imphal West attended the event as chief guest and distributed the water storage tanks to locals of Monsangei Arubam Leikai, Konjeng Leikai, Langthabal Mantrikhong, Monsangei Matai Leikai and Monsangei Makha Leikai in the presence of village elders, Commandant Vinod Kumar, Deputy Commandant Vinod Sawant, Deputy Commandant Alok Ranjan and AK Singh.

Speaking at the event, Vinod Kumar, Commandant 109 Bn encouraged locals to conserve and harvest water, said a separate statement of Social Welfare Club, Monsangei Makha Leikai lauding the CRPF for the aids provided.
