Saplings planted

Imphal, August 13 2015:
Enhancing its earlier record of 3,09,141 saplings set on Limca Book of Records in 2014, Border Security Force planted over 4,00,000 saplings within 30 minutes from 10amto 10.30am yesterday.
The saplings were planted as part of its golden jubilee celebration, said a press release.
As part of this endeavour, SHQ BSF Cl (Ops), Manipur under the supervision of DIG Mridul Sonowal planted 5250 saplings by the personnel of 144 Bn BSF at Koirengei and its other locations at Loktak, Maphou and Khuga dam simultaneously.
The plantation drive in Manipur was also aimed at afforestation of Maphou and Khuga dam areas, added the press release.
The event was held in the presence of CMC, Koirengei Director Father Lijo Ennamplasseril.
