JAC calls 12 hours general strike

Imphal, July 13 2016: The JAC Against the Attempt to Murder Dr N Gyaneshor, Internee, RIMS, Imphal, has called a 12 hours general strike at Bishnupur district on July 14 from 6 am to 6 pm, our correspondent reports.

The JAC, in a meeting with Thanga local clubs on June 23 had warned to launch the general strike in case RIMS authority and the State Government fail to nab those involved in the assault on Dr N Gyaneshor, Internee, RIMS, by July 13 .

Media, religious activities and emergency services will be exempted from the bandh.
