Imphal, June 13 2011: A hardcore MDF activist, who escaped from atleast two major ambushes by the security forces, has been arrested by police commandos in a counter insurgency operation, police said Monday.

Maibam Boy Meitei alias Abungcha @ Amarjit (25) son of M Chaoba of Uyumpok Mamang Leikai was arrested by a team of Imphal East police commandos during a frisking and checking near RK Sanatombi Vidyalaya, Jiribam on last Tuesday.
