Imphal, February 12 2025: Amid the political turmoil in the state with no confirmation on who the next chief minister would be following the resignation of N Biren, Thongju MLA Thongam Biswajit left for Delhi late Wednesday evening.

Biswajit, among other BJP legislators, had accompanied Biren in tendering the resignation to Governor AK Bhalla on February 9 .

However, since Biren's resignation, no one has been proposed as the new chief minister.

Biswajit's Delhi trip might include meetings with party's central leaders to share his thoughts and opinions with regard to successor of N Biren.
