Imphal, February 12 2016 : Even as the Govt said that Rs 1.5 crore has been utilised in respect of Tamenglong district out of the total amount of Rs 10 crore sanctioned for assistance to recent earth- quake affected families, the Luangchum Circle Development Committee said no assistance has been given so far for relocation of Kabui Khullen (Luanjang) villagers, the epicentre of the earth- quake.

In a statement, LDCC chairman Namjaigai Dominic said that the villagers are awaiting assistance from the Govt in order that they are shifted to safer location before the onset of monsoon as advised by the experts.

It urged the authority concerned to act urgently so that unwarranted consequences are avoided.
