Shija's 25th Mission Nagaland

Shija Hospitals under Shija Smile Train Cleft Project, has performed successful cleft lip operation on many children in Nagaland.
Operation was successfully performed on a total of 14 children today by a team of SHRI under the 25th Mission Nagaland project at Oking Hospital, Kohima, MD of SHRI Dr Kh Palin informed TSE.
So far, SHRI has conducted around 600 operations on children with cleft lip and palate since 2009 under its Mission Nagaland project.
Children with cleft lip and palate from remote areas of Nagaland were among those operated by the Shija team, Dr Palin said.

Some parents from far-flung areas, located 200 kms away from the Nagaland State Capital brought their children to Kohima to avail the facility.
However, some of them were not operated due to being under-age or having other illnesses.
Dr Palin further assured to conduct operation on them the next time while also assuring them to provide their next travel expenses.
Shija Hospital also extended similar benefits to Myanmar and Barak Valley.
