Imphal, November 09, 2013: Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC), Kolkata conducted workshop on Health Care Knowledge System at the Mini Auditorium of RIMS, Imphal on November 7 last to highlight the increasing and highly beneficial use of computer and software techniques and knowledge for rendering better health services in the Manipur.

The workshop was attended by Prof Dr S Sekharjit Singh, Director, RIMS, Officials of the Directorate of Health Services, Govt of Manipur, Medical Superintendent, HODs, Professors, Doctors, WHO Fellows and IT professionals of Imphal.

Around hundred professionals have participated in the event.

Speaking at the occasion Scientist, C-DAC Kolkata, Goutam Kumar Saha said the Concept Maps based Health Care Knowledge system software is available through internet while the software Kiosk has already been installed in major Medical Colleges & Hospitals and Community Health Centres in all the eight North Eastern States including the RIMS-Imphal Medical College, Civil Hospital, Aizawl.

The Health Care Knowledge System is also accessible free of cost through the RIMS Imphal website, RIPANS- Aizawl, Directorate of Health Services-Govt of Mizoram, NRHM-Govt of Tripura Website, Silchar Medical College Websites, Agartala Gov Medical College, NEIGRIHMS Medical College-Shillong etc.
