Ukhrul, October 08 2017: District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) Ukhrul, in partnership with Ngainga VDC Committee, successfully organised a one day legal awareness programme at Ngainga village .

The awareness programme was attended by the village Pastor, headman and around 300 villagers .

Alek Muivah, Secretary, DLSA and CJM Ukhrul, spoke on crime against women and the objective and functions of DLSA .

Somaya Mungrei, Legal Aid Counsel, Juveniles Justice Board, Ukhrul, spoke on the rights of children in context with POCSO Act, 2012 .

DLSA, Ukhrul, also identified suitable rooms for opening Legal Aid Clinics at Kamjong village, Somdal village, Torah village and at District Hospital, Ukhrul, by this month.
