Chiefs initiate jungle cutting in areas with HT lines

CCpur, May 08 2024: The Singpi Area Chiefs' Association has initiated clearing trees in areas where high tension (HT) lines are installed or strung.

The action was prompted due to the unpredictable weather conditions including strong winds' and heavy rains which earlier disrupted many parts of Churachandpur district.

According to sources, the step was initiated after an appeal made by the Electricity department.

For this purpose, two people from every household of the areas joined in cutting the jungle in Mata Lambulane, Old Gelmol areas and beyond.
