CCpur, January 08 2019: As part of continuous endeavour of AR towards improving healthcare, Sajik Battalion under the aegis of HQ IGAR (S) organised a medical camp at village Khaikual, Churachandpur today as part of Assam Rifles CivicActionProject2018-19.Keeping in mind the problems faced by villagers due to the prevalent socio-economic conditions and remoteness of the location, a complete checkup of every individual was carried out.

Regimental Medical Officer of Sajik Battalion along with four medical staff provided free medical treatment and distributed free medicine to the people of Khaikual and adjoining, villages while a total of 154 patients (43 males, 49 females and 62 children) were provided treatment.

Apart from providing necessary medical attention, basic knowledge on health education, hygiene and sanitation was also imparted.
