Imphal, August 04 2021: Komrem Mother Association (KMA) and Komrem Development Organisation (KDO) strongly condemned the incident where a group of miscreants mercilessly beaten up some women who were attending a prayer programme on July 17 at Ichum Keirap Kom Village under Keithelmanbi PS, Kangpokpi district.

KMA expressed dismay that the Keithelmanbi PS has not taken up any strict measures against the culprits though an FIR was filed in the same PS which clearly portrays that the law enforcers are protecting the culprits.

The association also sought the attention of the Chief Minister and DGP of Manipur to look into the issue at the earliest and ensure that safety and dignity of women are secured.

Lastly KMA also warned of strong form of democratic agitation if no proper action is taken up soon.
