Imphal, August 04 2015: A training centre for underprivileged children called The Metamorphosis Centre for Education was today inaugurated at Old Treasury Road, Tamenglong district headquarters.

Rev Dr Adui Newme, general secretary ZBCC, NEI, TP Injangdimang and Namthiurai Daimei, Principal Tamenglong College were the chief guest, president and guest of honour of the inaugural programme respectively.

The Metamorphosis works in partnership with the Next Phase Skills based in Kolkota which is under the National Skill Development Corporation, New Delhi.

In the initial stage, the centre is introducing short term skill training programmes of 3 to 6 months duration for children from village shelters, orphanages and poor homes.
