Imphal, August 03 2024: A mental health camp was held at the Biramangol College relief camp in Sawombung to address the psychological needs of internally displaced persons (IDPs) .

The initiative was led by RIMS, department of clinical psychology under the guidance of the department head Dr Sameeta Ngairangbam.

The camp provided crucial services, including psychological support, coping strategies and behavioural sessions to help IDPs manage the mental stress and trauma resulting from their displacement due to the crisis.

The event saw active participation by many camp residents, highlighting the importance of mental health care in times of crisis.
