Imphal, May 03 2019: As part of continued endeavour of Assam Rifles towards improving basic facilities, Sajik Battalion of 2 8 Sector Assam Rifles under the aegis of IGAR (South) distributed water sintex tank to the villages of Aigejang, Bongpij ang and M Lebanon of Kana Valley area, Chandel district of Manipur today under Assam Rifles Civic Action Programme 2018-19, saidPRO IGAR (South) .

The village authorities had approached Sajik Battalion Assam Rifles to assist them with enhancing the water storage facility in their respective village.

The Battalion promptly provided water sintex tanks underthe Assam Rifles Civic Action Programme.

Three sintex tanks were distributed to Lebanon, one each to Bongpij ang and Aigejang village, said AR.

The welfare measure will strengthen the confidence of the villagers in Security Forces and enhance mutual trust.

The locals expressed their heart felt gratitude to Assam Rifles for their gesture.
