Imphal, February 03 2022: After denial of BJP ticket, Mathurabasimayum Priyananda Sharma, who was preparing to contest the election from Wangkhem A/C, has declared that he will not contest the upcoming election.

Speaking to media persons at Manipur Press Club here on Thursday, Priyananda informed that the decision of not contesting the election was taken after thorough discussion with his election campaign team.

He continued that he strongly believes in the norms of BJP and wants to follow rules of the party in the future too.
