Dr Usharani named JNIMS director i/c

Imphal, August 02 2024: Dr Longjam Usharani Devi has been appointed as the director in-charge of Jawaharlal Nehru Institute of Medical Sciences (JNIMS) .

Dr Usharani, who is a professor of Department of Community Medicine, JNIMS, will assume her new role starting August 8, 2024 .

According to an order issued by the joint secretary of health and family welfare on Friday, Dr Usharani will hold the position until October 31, 2024, or until a regular director is appointed, whichever comes first.

This appointment is co-terminus with her current re-engagement period and will be in addition to her regular duties, with no additional remuneration provided, it mentioned.
