Imphal, June 02 2011: A part of the brick wall of the Gambhir Singh Memorial Complex at Canchipur was dismantled by miscreants last night who also assaulted the masons engaged in the construction of the wall.

MLA O Joy condemning the act said a controversy in the award of the construction work could be the factor behind the vandalism, and he sought for a police investigation into the incident.

O Joy further said that the contract work was undertaken by one O Santa and the contractor has lodged a complaint with the Singjamei police.
